Forest hunter by ThierryCravatte Forest hunter by ThierryCravatte
Another one I did with Ooga, the great character from Pixeluna, Shadownet, Ghostman and chucknepo. I really like this character, with all the addon's ... A pleasure to play with !

As usual, posed and set up in Daz Studio. Materials tweaking, lighting and rendering in Octane Render.
I used Octane integrated daylight system for lighting. Postwork in Gimp for resizing, signature and background compositing.

Thanks for viewing and taking time to leave a comment.
Have a great time.

Very beautiful image with excellent lighting and extremely effective dynamic composition.

The textures and the lighting are supreme they look amazingly realistic.

The point of view, posing and composition are ideally suited for the subject: there is so much sense of movement in her pose and in the tilted angle of the camera that I keep expecting her hair to shift and the blade to shine slightly as she breathes.

The details of the pose are fantastic too: the foot grip she has on the trunk adds great feeling of real gravity and tension. Her expression is both ready for battle and realistic in the way she squints from the sunshine a little.

The depth of field effect is expertly created and adds to the realism and the impression of vast space through which she has freedom to run.

Some minor details, which I might find questionable, or which might improve the image is altered a bit:
- The animal print on the clothes: I love the little furry trim, but for the the cloth texture I think leather, or embroidered or painted leather would fit the character better.
- The little sapling branches around the trunk in the foreground look a bit too uniform and are among the extraordinarily few elements of the image which betray it's 3D nature. It could probably be fixed in post.
- Seeing more tensed muscles in the character's body might add to the overall effect, but it's a very minor detail.
- Another 3D-betraying element is the slight stretch of the hair texture from the movement morphs. Could also be fixed in post, but it's actually such a minor point that I'm not sure it's worth the bother. In all justice this comment could be viewed as splitting hairs :).

As you can see, there is precious little room for improvement here, because the image is pretty close to perfection. Congratulations! Beautiful work.
